Oasys Releases New Technology Roadmap to Address Key Challenges in Blockchain Gaming
Oasys Releases Technical Roadmap to Provide New Momentum for Blockchain Game Development
Oasys, as a blockchain platform focused on the gaming sector, is dedicated to bringing traditional Web2 players and game companies into the Web3 era. Recently, on the occasion of Oasys's second anniversary, the platform released its latest technical roadmap, aimed at addressing the technical challenges and user pain points faced by the current development of blockchain games.
This roadmap revolves around three core areas: application data availability, layer two interoperability, and ecosystem scalability. These key areas reflect Oasys's deep insights into the development trends of the blockchain gaming industry, as well as its determination to promote progress in the industry.
Despite the continuous improvement of blockchain technology in recent years, there are still some technical shortcomings in practical applications. Oasys, through this roadmap update, has proposed targeted solutions.
First, to address the continuity of game assets, Oasys proposed an innovative method of mirroring game assets from layer two to layer one. This design ensures that even if the layer two data is discarded, users' assets can still be permanently protected.
Secondly, to enhance interoperability between layer two networks, Oasys plans to introduce cross-chain bridges, adopt universal data formats, and standardize APIs. This will enable users to freely move data and assets between different games within the Oasys ecosystem.
Finally, to enhance the scalability of the ecosystem, Oasys is closely collaborating with partners to provide them with the necessary tools and resources. Among these, the launch of the Oasys Verse development kit ( and Oasys VDK ) will significantly accelerate project startup speed, allowing developers to focus more on content creation.
In terms of specific implementation, Oasys's roadmap is divided into two phases: short-term (within 1 year) and medium-term (2-3 years). In the short term, Oasys will focus on standardizing game asset specifications, creating practical use cases, and providing the Oasys VDK. The medium-term goals include addressing protocol layer issues, achieving interoperability, and providing more developer tools.
It is worth mentioning that Oasys has made significant progress in the development of practical use cases. In May of this year, several important projects were successively launched on the Oasys platform, including well-known game IPs like XPLA Verse and Summoners War: Chronicles. In addition, the blockchain game "Captain Tsubasa -RIVALS-", based on the classic manga "Captain Tsubasa", has also officially launched on Oasys.
In terms of ecosystem expansion, Oasys recently reached a partnership with Japan's SBI Group, aiming to enhance its influence in the Japanese crypto gaming and NFT market. Earlier this year, Oasys also collaborated with Metabora SG, the Web3 gaming division of South Korean internet giant Kakao, to support its entry into the Japanese market.
Through this series of initiatives, Oasys has not only demonstrated its technological innovation capabilities and strategic vision in the blockchain gaming sector but also highlighted its determination to collaborate with industry-leading companies to jointly promote the development of blockchain gaming. As the technology roadmap is gradually implemented, Oasys is steadily advancing towards the goal of establishing global standards for blockchain gaming, creating real value for players and developers while bringing new experiences and opportunities to the entire gaming industry.
