Japan's retail giant integrates encryption Wallet and payment application. Bitcoin can be used directly for daily consumption.
A well-known retail company in Japan recently announced that its crypto wallet service has seamlessly integrated with a payment application, providing consumers with the convenience of using Bitcoin and other digital money for everyday purchases.
The company stated that users can now deposit their held Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Ether into the company's payment application account. This payment application is available at many large and medium-sized retail stores in Japan, providing consumers with convenient mobile payment services.
Four years ago, the company already allowed consumers to exchange points for cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin. Today, by integrating its crypto assets wallet, electronic money services, and payment applications, users can spend their digital money at various well-known chain stores, including some famous fast-food chains, large department stores, and convenience stores.
According to reports, the exchange between fiat currency, electronic money, and Crypto Assets is completely free. However, the minimum transaction amount is set at 1,000 yen (approximately 9.40 USD), and the monthly spending limit is set at around 100,000 yen (approximately 940 USD).
To use this new feature, users need to become a member of the company and open a trading account in their Crypto Assets Wallet. To encourage consumers to try this new service, the company will also offer a small amount of points as a reward.
This initiative not only expands the application scenarios for Crypto Assets but also provides new ideas for the digital transformation of Japan's retail industry. As Crypto Assets integrate with traditional payment systems, we may be witnessing the birth of a more convenient and diversified payment ecosystem.
