A man in the UK has given up on searching for a hard drive containing 8000 BTC in a landfill.

BlockBeats news, on August 5th, according to Cointelegraph, IT engineer James Howells from Newport, UK has ended his 12-year search, failing to recover a hard drive that he believes is buried in a municipal landfill in South Wales containing 8,000 Bitcoins (currently worth about $920 million).
