Recently, the Lido ecosystem announced a significant decision that has attracted widespread attention in the Crypto Assets community. Lido co-founder Vasiliy Shapovalov revealed on social media that to ensure long-term sustainability, the Lido ecosystem will reduce the size of its contributor team, with approximately 15% of employees expected to be affected.

Shapovalov emphasized that this decision was purely based on cost considerations and had nothing to do with individual employee performance. He acknowledged that it was a difficult choice but believed it was crucial for maintaining the long-term resilience of the ecosystem.

It is worth noting that despite the current upward trend in the market, Lido has still chosen to make organizational adjustments at this time. This move reflects the project's firm commitment to sustainable growth, focusing on core operations, and aligning with the interests of token holders.

Shapovalov stated that Lido is formulating a strategic plan for development over the next several decades. This adjustment aims to consolidate the project's foundation and lay a solid groundwork for long-term development. This decision reflects the foresight of the Lido team and their emphasis on the project's sustained healthy development.

Although the news of layoffs may cause some fluctuations in the short term, in the long run, it may help Lido maintain its leading position in the highly competitive decentralized finance space. As the Crypto Assets industry continues to evolve, similar strategic adjustments may become a necessary measure for projects to ensure long-term survival and development.
