CoinVoice has learned that according to TechCrunch, Microsoft Vice Chairman and President Brad Smith stated during a Senate hearing today that, for data security reasons and to guard against "Chinese propaganda" influence, Microsoft has prohibited its employees from using the DeepSeek application and has not listed the product in the app store.

According to reports, DeepSeek's privacy policy indicates that its user data is stored on servers in China and must comply with local laws. It is worth noting that Microsoft previously introduced the DeepSeek R1 model, which underwent security assessment and adjustments, into its Azure cloud service platform. This is the first time Microsoft has publicly acknowledged an internal corporate ban on DeepSeek.
