On May 8, the Arbitrum community voted on-chain to invest 35 million ARB, equivalent to approximately 11.6 million USD, into tokenized U.S. government bonds. The funds will be allocated to tokenized bond products issued by Franklin Templeton, Spiko, and WisdomTree. The election began on May 1 and was approved with nearly 89% of votes in favor.

A professional committee elected by the community evaluated over 50 proposals and ultimately selected three organizations based on various criteria such as management fees, fund size, and risk control. The head of the cryptocurrency division at Franklin Templeton stated that this collaboration will leverage Arbitrum Layer2 technology to provide efficient financial services.

Advisors of the Arbitrum community believe that this is an important milestone in the deep cooperation between the cryptocurrency sector and traditional financial institutions. According to the plan, unselected candidates will have the opportunity to participate in the next round of fund allocation.
