In the latest XRP news, Ripple whales moved a total of 782 million US Dollars worth of XRP, sparking market interest. Two large transactions of XRP were recorded, with 70 million XRP (148.3 million US Dollars) and 300 million XRP (633.7 million US Dollars) transferred to unknown wallets.
These activities came in conjunction with the confirmation from the U.S. Federal Reserve that interest rates would remain unchanged. While cryptocurrency prices responded with slight declines, the price of XRP stayed above key support levels.
Ripple whales transfer 370 million XRP coins
Whale Alert, a blockchain tracking platform, reported the transfer of a total of 370 million XRP tokens in two large transactions by Ripple whales. The first transaction saw the transfer of 70 million XRP from an unknown wallet to another. Shortly thereafter, 300 million XRP was transferred directly from Ripple to another unknown wallet.
These transactions occurred with a one-hour difference, sparking speculation about an internal reorganization or strategic centralization. At the time of these transactions, the price of XRP was trading at just above $2.10. The price remained stable despite the overall weakness in the cryptocurrency market following the Federal Reserve's announcement of interest rates.
